Council endorsed submissions to PoweringWA on its Draft Community Benefits Framework for renewable energy projects at the August Special Council meeting. The Shire of Boddington, along with 31 other local governments, called for stronger protections for host communities, including enforceable agreements, clearer benefit values, and inclusion of battery storage.

Planning is progressing well for the installation of the dump truck display on the Old School Oval. The Shire is working with Newmont on the engineering details for the concrete slab and surrounds, which will guide the next stage of construction. Landscaping concepts are also being refined to create an attractive and low-maintenance setting around the display.

Apex Envirocare has initiated dredging along the Hotham River, with the extracted sediment pumped to the Laydown Area behind the Pool Centre. To date, one Geotube has been deployed, accommodating around 300 cubic meters of sediment.
