A fantastic time was had at the Boddington Community Christmas Celebration, held on Friday, 5 December 2025, at Hotham Park. Presented by the Shire of Boddington, the much-loved annual event attracted more than 320 people, creating a vibrant atmosphere for families and friends to relax, enjoy great food, and catch up ahead of the summer holidays.

There will be no changes to the collections within the Shire during the week of Christmas 2025. Bins will be collected as normal.

A treatment for Chilli Thrips infestation is being applied to the rose bushes throughout the Boddington town centre.

The Shire invites Boddington youth to the End-of-Year Christmas Celebration, marking the conclusion of the 2025 Youth Centre program. Enjoy an afternoon of festive activities, food, music, games, and an opportunity to celebrate the year together.

The roof replacement at the Old Roads Board Building is now complete. This work has enhanced the condition and safety of the roof, ensuring the protection of this key community facility for the future. Support for local sport and recreation has been strengthened through approval of a Community Grant Program application submitted by the Boddington Golf Club. The grant will assist with replacing worn putting cups and holders to improve course quality for members and visitors.

Ongoing support for local primary healthcare has been reinforced through the approval of continued housing arrangements for the General Practitioner servicing the Boddington Medical Centre. Council decisions in October and November have supported accommodation for 2 Registrars to continue servicing Boddington in 2026.

A development application for external upgrades to the commercial property at 53 Bannister Road has been approved, paving the way for a refreshed appearance at this prominent town centre site.

The Shire is pleased to announce that the contractor for the new Caravan Park cabins will take possession of the site within the next four weeks, and the site preparations will commence shortly thereafter. By June 2026, six modern cabins will be ready to welcome visitors. These cabins will offer a comfortable and convenient accommodation option for guests.

The timber has been carefully repaired, sanded, and oiled, giving the building a refreshed and welcoming appearance. Boddington’s second Business After Hours event for 2025 took place on Tuesday, 18 November 2025 at the Boddington Diner, attracting nearly 20 local business owners.

The Boddington Seniors Week Expo, held on Thursday, 13 November 2025, welcomed around 70 community members for a day dedicated to celebrating and supporting Boddington's seniors. The event featured a variety of stalls from Boddington Active Ageing Network organisations, and showcased local services available to assist older residents.

The latest Boddington Active Ageing Network seniors' activities timetable is now available. Join in social groups, fitness sessions, and creative activities designed to support wellbeing and community connection.

The Boddington Early Years Network (EYN) programs are a fun and welcoming way for families to connect and learn together. The timetable lists the weekly activities for children ages 0-5.

In celebration of the International Day of People with Disability, Rebound WA will visit the Hotham Park Half Court on Friday, 5 December 2025, to run a Wheel Life basketball session. This fun and interactive afternoon will allow participants to learn new skills while gaining a firsthand understanding of what it’s like to live with a physical disability.

Wuraming Avenue will be closed on Friday, 5 December 2025, from 12.00 pm until 10.00 pm for the Boddington Community Christmas Celebration.

The Shire is seeking a dynamic volunteer to fill the important role of Father Christmas at this year's Boddington Community Christmas Celebration.

The annual Seniors Week Expo is back on Thursday, 13 November 2025. This Expo forms part of Seniors Week and offers local seniors access to a variety of interactive and informative stalls and demonstrations aimed at promoting healthy, active and connected ageing. A complimentary lunch and refreshments will be provided for attendees.

Contractors will be onsite from Wednesday, 12 November 2025 to undertake roof replacement works on the Old Road Board Building. Some noise and restricted access can be expected during this time.

At the Special Council Meeting on Monday, 3 November 2025, the Shire of Boddington adopted its 2025/2026 Budget, following unavoidable delays caused by external departmental processes. The Shire sincerely thanks the community for its patience and understanding throughout this period.

The 2025 Children’s Week Celebration was organised by the Boddington Early Years Network on Tuesday, 21 October 2025. This annual event raises awareness and celebrates every child’s right to relax, play, and engage in activities they enjoy. This year’s theme was: "Everyone Should Know About Children’s Rights". The celebration brought together approximately 70 local children and families in a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment, fostering connection and support throughout the Shire.

IPS Management Consultants is a provider of small business development regional services in the Peel region. They facilitate the free sessions with local businesses and are passionate about regional communities and helping our businesses achieve their goals.
