The Shire held its first Aboriginal Reference Group meeting, on 23 July 2024. Councillors, staff, and representatives from Boddingtons Aboriginal community discussed key issues and initiatives aimed at cultural preservation and community well-being.

The Bannister Rd toilet block now features a beautiful new mural. This vibrant artwork was created by Georgina Paterson, who has skilfully brought local flora and fauna to life across all four walls of the toilet block.

The streetlight banners along the main street of town have undergone a makeover. Last week the Shire of Boddington had eight new streetlight banners installed along Bannister Road, adding a vibrant touch to the main street.

Community groups and sporting clubs are invited to submit their written Expressions of Interest for one of four paid roles to assist with the arrival of temporary campers for this year’s Boddington Rodeo. Campers will be arriving on Friday, 1 November, 1pm to 8pm.

Boddington's mural installations are set to begin soon, starting with the Fire Shed mural. The selected artist, Jacob Butler, has created a design that will feature Henry Boddington, highlighting historical significance, as well as local flora and fauna.
