Resealing works on Taylor Court are now complete. These works form part of the Shire’s ongoing road maintenance program, improving safety and accessibility for all road users while helping to extend the lifespan of the road surface.

The Boddington Pavilion is now available for community hire, making the facility accessible for a broader range of local groups, activities, and short-term uses.

The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) has released a list of sporting clubs and community groups with overdue Annual Information Statements. Organisations that refuse to complete the required reporting will risk having their incorporation deregistered, which may impact their ability to continue operating.

The Shire of Boddington has agreed to formally participate in the Community Assisted Transport Service (CATS). CATS is a regional volunteer transport service, coordinated through the Shire of Narrogin. It supports people from Narrogin and surrounding communities who are unable to travel independently for specialist medical care. The service can provide pick up from towns along the travel route, including Boddington, subject to availability.

Town Centre Revitalisation Project works are set to begin in late May, marking an exciting step towards a refreshed and more welcoming town centre for the Boddington community.

The 1.9-million-dollar upgrade to Lower Hotham Road is now complete. The project has delivered sealed road shoulders, creating a wider and safer transport route for everyone who uses this important connection. These improvements provide more room for vehicles to pass safely and strengthen the overall durability of the road.

The SMS system used to notify Boddington residents of Harvest and Vehicle Movement Bans and Total Fire Bans has been updated. These local alerts will now be sent from a new number. Current subscribers do not need to take any action, as their details will be automatically transferred to the new system.

Continued support has been approved for the Boddington Playgroup through an electricity subsidy for a further three-year period. This shared cost arrangement supports the playgroup’s financial sustainability, enabling it to continue delivering services for local families.

The Boddington Community Yarning Circle project has reached an important milestone, with the detailed design now finalised following acceptance by the Aboriginal Reference Group. The endorsed design reflects extensive cultural input, with a strong focus on creating a space for learning, storytelling, gathering and cultural recognition.

More than 30 people attended the recent Boddington Business After Hours event, hosted at the Double Shot Café, with attendees enjoying fabulous food and a welcoming atmosphere. The evening featured a presentation by Tania Dawson, who shared valuable insights from a Boddington business perspective into the lived experience of applying for a Peel Business Award. Greg Hire from A Stitch in Time also presented, offering practical and thoughtful tips on health and wellbeing from a business owner’s perspective.
