The Shire is collaborating with Tredwell in developing a new Cycling and Walking Plan to make it easier, safer and more enjoyable for people of all ages to get around the community. Input from residents, local businesses and community groups will play an important role in shaping the plan.

Works have now commenced on the Central Park and 32 Bannister Road Enhancement Project, marking an important step forward in revitalising these key community spaces.

The new dump truck display is progressing, with final preparation works now underway. Current works include installation of safety rails, pathways, lighting and landscaping.

Level Up these school holidays with Gymnastics WA at a fun and active “come try” gymnastics session. Children and young people can learn basic gymnastics skills under the guidance of professionals in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Level Up is a new initiative launching in July 2026, offering pop-up sports sessions for children and young people in Boddington.

A ten-year enhancement plan has been adopted to guide the ongoing improvement of the Boddington Swimming Pool and surrounding facilities.

South32 Worsley Alumina has submitted a request to extend the closure of Morts Road until 30 April 2029, along with support for a proposed road realignment. South32 is now proposing to transport ore by conveyor rather than by trucks. This change is expected to reduce noise and dust associated with haul road movements.

The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) has released a list of sporting clubs and community groups with overdue Annual Information Statements. Organisations that refuse to complete the required reporting will risk having their incorporation deregistered, which may impact their ability to continue operating.

The Shire of Boddington has agreed to formally participate in the Community Assisted Transport Service (CATS). CATS is a regional volunteer transport service, coordinated through the Shire of Narrogin. It supports people from Narrogin and surrounding communities who are unable to travel independently for specialist medical care. The service can provide pick up from towns along the travel route, including Boddington, subject to availability.

Town Centre Revitalisation Project works are set to begin in late May, marking an exciting step towards a refreshed and more welcoming town centre for the Boddington community.

The 1.9-million-dollar upgrade to Lower Hotham Road is now complete. The project has delivered sealed road shoulders, creating a wider and safer transport route for everyone who uses this important connection. These improvements provide more room for vehicles to pass safely and strengthen the overall durability of the road.

The SMS system used to notify Boddington residents of Harvest and Vehicle Movement Bans and Total Fire Bans has been updated. These local alerts will now be sent from a new number. Current subscribers do not need to take any action, as their details will be automatically transferred to the new system.
