Executive Manager Infrastructure Services 

3-5 Year contract
The Shire of Boddington is a vibrant, connected and evolving local government. The position of Executive Manager Infrastructure Services reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Shire's Executive Leadership Team. Accountabilities include leading the infrastructure team, as well as the development and delivery of strategies and plans that service the objectives of the Shire's Integrated Strategic Planning Framework.

The Infrastructure Services Department is responsible for the Shire’s roads and drainage, waste management, parks and gardens, heavy and light fleet, building maintenance, and cemeteries. The Executive Manager Infrastructure Services role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Infrastructure Services team in the delivery of a range of construction projects, programs, maintenance, and day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills, with the capacity to lead and motivate teams
  • Experience in a similar role involving civil construction and maintenance
  • Demonstrated experience in capital works programming, contract management and procurement practices

This position is offered on a three to five year contract, with a total remuneration package of up to $187,436 per annum, including a base salary of up to $125,000, provision of housing and vehicle, up to 17% superannuation, and additional allowances. The Shire is supportive of flexible working arrangements, which may be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Civil Plant Operator/General Hand 

Permanent, Full Time Opportunity

Our Works and Services Department is actively involved in a number of projects across the Shire, contributing to the development and improvement of our road networks, townscape, parks, reserves and residential services.

As part of the Civil Works Team, you will contribute to the delivery of the construction and maintenance program of the Shire’s infrastructure (roads, pathways, carparks, bridges and drainage) through the operation of heavy plant and machinery.

You will have practical experience in civil construction and maintenance activities, a valid HR Class Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain), be hardworking and have a positive, honest and collaborative attitude.

A competitive salary package of up to $81,134 per annum is on offer, inclusive of:

  • Cash component of up to $68,000
  • Generous superannuation (up to 23%, with superannuation co-contribution scheme)
  • 9 day fortnight

The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Clearance (issued within the last three months), evidence of a valid White Card and be able to pass a pre-employment medical.

Youth Centre Assistant 

Casual Employment
As a Youth Centre Assistant, you will need the ability to communicate and relate to young people attending the Youth Centre and engage with them throughout the program delivery. Previous experience working with young people is not necessary however would be favourably regarded.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Support the efficient and effective daily operations of the Boddington Youth Centre
  • Assist with implementation and planning of projects and programs
  • Engage effectively with young people who are utilising the Boddington Youth Centre and/or participating in projects and programs, with a focus on building rapport

You will also have a positive, honest, collaborative attitude, an interest in working with young people with a view to provide enriching experiences, and be able to work with limited supervision.

This role attracts an hourly rate from $23.93 up to $28.12 (inclusive of loading) plus 11% superannuation.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within the last 3 months) and have a valid and current C Class Driver’s License.

Refuse Site Attendant

Casual Employment

The Shire of Boddington is a vibrant, connected and evolving local government.  Our Works and Services Department is actively involved in a number of projects across the Shire, contributing to the development and improvement of our road networks, townscape, parks, reserves and residential services.

As our Refuse Site Attendant, you will take centre stage at the Boddington Refuse Disposal Site, directing patrons to the correct disposal areas, inspecting vehicles and trailers and maintaining a clean, safe and functional environment, accessible for the community.

The successful candidate will be passionate about outstanding customer service, and be committed to environmental and recycling initiatives. Practical experience in the safe operation of heavy plant and machinery, a valid HR Class Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain) and a positive, honest and collaborative attitude is also required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Controlling various tipping areas through active monitoring of vehicle activity at the Boddington Refuse Disposal Site, ensuring that prohibited items are not accepted and that responsibility for conditionally accepted items is maintained.
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe and efficient site with the use of Shire plant and equipment
  • Recording and collection of tipping dockets; tip fee payments and other data for waste reporting.

 

An attractive employment package is on offer consisting of:

  • Competitive hourly rate of up to $34.79 (inclusive of loading)
  • Generous superannuation (up to 22.5%, with superannuation co-contribution scheme)

 

This position is available on a flexible basis with an expectation of 8-17 hours per week with additional hours to be worked relevant to the needs of the role.

Facility Cleaner

The Shire of Boddington is seeking cleaners with attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a positive outlook. As part of the Works and Services Team, our facility cleaners play a vital part in ensuring Shire facilities are maintained to a high standard.  

Preference will be given to candidates with public and/or commercial cleaning experience. Attention to detail and taking pride in providing high standards of cleanliness are essential requirements for this role.

An attractive employment package is on offer consisting of:

  • Competitive hourly rate of up to $31.14 (inclusive of loading)
  • Generous superannuation (up to 23%, with superannuation co-contribution scheme)

This role will be approximately 16 rostered hours per fortnight with additional hours to be worked relevant to the needs of the role.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Clearance (issued within the last three months), evidence of a current “C” Class Driver’s License and be able to pass a pre-employment medical.
