Facility Cleaner
Casual Opportunity
Our Works and Services team is actively involved in a number of projects across the Shire, contributing to the development and improvement of our road networks, townscape, parks and reserves.
As part of the Works and Services Team, our Facility Cleaners play a vital part in the longevity of the Shire’s Facility Enhancement schedule. It is through your practical experience and knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, products and equipment that our amenities remain pristine, durable and accessible for our community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that nominated Shire facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance, and are presentable for all users of the relevant facility
- Ensuring that cleaning is undertaken in accordance with service standards (including infection control processes) and all cleaning policies and procedures are carried out as per each designated area’s requirements
- Adhering to a cleaning works schedule and performing duties on time, with care, honesty and professionalism, and at times, with limited supervision
An attractive employment package is on offer consisting of:
- Competitive hourly rate of up to $31.14 (inclusive of loading)
- Generous superannuation (up to 22.5%, with superannuation co-contribution scheme)
This role will be a minimum of 16 rostered hours per fortnight with additional hours to be worked relevant to the needs of the role.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Clearance (issued within the last three months), evidence of a current “C” Class Driver’s License and be able to pass a pre-employment medical.

Ranger & Emergency Services Officer
Permanent, Full Time Opportunity
Our Development Services team is dedicated to the creation and ongoing enhancement of a safe, accessible and inclusive community through responsible development of our natural environment.
Our Ranger & Emergency Services Officer plays a vital role within this team, dually responsible for strengthening community resilience and furnishing their response to natural disasters and emergencies; as well as supporting compliance through the education of community members regarding state legislation and Local Laws, Acts and Regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining effective partnerships to consolidate a best practice approach to emergency management delivery between the Shire, Department Fire Emergency Services, Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades, Volunteer State Emergency Services and the community
- Proactively supporting and educating the community to ensure compliance of relevant Acts, Regulations and Local Laws relating to animal and livestock management, abandoned vehicles, litter, fire prevention, off road vehicles and other areas
A competitive annual salary package of up to $95,291 is on offer, inclusive of:
- Cash component of up to $73,784
- Generous superannuation (up to 22.5%, with superannuation co-contribution scheme)
- Commuter use of Ranger Vehicle

Plant Operator/General Hand
Permanent, Full Time Opportunity
Our Works and Services team is actively involved in a number of projects across the Shire, contributing to the development and improvement of our road networks, townscape, parks and reserves.
As part of the Roadworks Team, you will contribute to the delivery of the construction and maintenance program of the Shire’s infrastructure (roads, pathways, carparks, bridges and drainage) through the operation of heavy plant and machinery.
You will have practical experience in civil construction and maintenance activities, a valid HR Class Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain), be hardworking and have a positive, honest and collaborative attitude.
A competitive salary package of up to $76,787 per annum is on offer, inclusive of:
- Cash component of up to $64,785
- Generous superannuation (up to 22.5%, with superannuation co-contribution scheme)
- 9 day fortnight

Youth Centre Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a person-centric individual to join our Community and Economic Development team. As Youth Centre Assistant, you will need the ability to communicate and relate to young people attending the Youth Centre and engage with them throughout the program delivery. Previous experience working with young people is not necessary however would be favourably regarded.
You will have a positive, honest, collaborative attitude, an interest in working with young people with a view to provide enriching experiences, and be able to work with limited supervision.
This role attracts an hourly rate of $28.12 (inclusive of loading) plus 10.5% superannuation.
