Executive Assistant


The Shire of Boddington is seeking a skilled, organised, and experienced Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key responsibilities include:
• Provide administrative support to the CEO, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating civic functions, and managing correspondence.
• Coordinate requests for information from internal and external stakeholders and provide a professional, customer responsive first point of contact for enquiries to the CEO.
• Ensure accurate and timely Council, Committee and other reference group meeting agendas and minutes.
• Preparation of correspondence, communication material and reports.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, have outstanding administrative abilities, with a keen eye for detail to produce high quality work, and exceptional time management skills. Knowledge and experience in local government with be beneficial.

This position offers:
• 34 - 38 hours per week, working an 8 or 9 day fortnight.
• Cash component between $73,625 - $79,029 (based on 38 hours, and dependent on qualifications and experience).
• Up to 17.5% superannuation.
• Access to local government benefits including professional and personal development, salary sacrifice, and an additional 2 days Public Service Leave per year.

Plant Operator/Maintenance Worker

The Shire of Boddington is a values driven organisation proud to be serving our community with a diverse range of services. The Shire is seeking a suitably experienced and motivated individual to join our Infrastructure Services team. The primary objective of the role is to operate various items of plant and equipment in relation to civil construction and maintenance works.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Carrying out construction and maintenance activities on infrastructure, including roads, pathways and drainage.
  • Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with approved work practices, procedures, service levels and quality standards.
  • Performing various manual handling and labouring tasks.
  • Being a positive part of a motivated team that delivers services for the community.

 

The successful candidate will have a great attitude, experience in a similar role, and possess plant operation competency tickets (or be willing to obtain these). A HR Class driver’s licence is a requirement of the role.

 

A competitive salary package of up to 81,954 per annum is on offer, inclusive of;

 

  • Cash component of up to $70,510 inclusive of allowances

Youth Centre Assistant 

The Shire of Boddington is proud to be serving our community as a values driven organisation, with a diverse range of services. It is in servicing this community that the Shire is seeking a suitably experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Youth Centre Assistant.

As a Youth Centre Assistant, you will need the ability to communicate and relate to young people attending the Youth Centre, and engage with them throughout the program delivery. Previous experience working with young people is not necessary, however, would be favourably regarded.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Support the efficient and effective daily operations of the Boddington Youth Centre
  • Assist with implementation and planning of projects and programs
  • Engage effectively with young people who are utilising the Boddington Youth Centre and/or
    participating in projects and programs, with a focus on building rapport

The successful applicant will also have a positive, honest, collaborative attitude, an interest in working with young people with a view to provide enriching experiences, and be able to work with limited supervision.

This role attracts an hourly rate up to $30.65 (inclusive of loading) plus 11% superannuation, based on an adult wage.

A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within the last 3 months) and a valid and current C Class Driver’s License are prerequisites for this role.

This position is for 7 hours per week during the school term and up to 24 hours per week during the school holidays. Flexibility is required to work additional hours relevant to the needs of the role.
