Ongoing support for local primary healthcare has been reinforced through the approval of continued housing arrangements for the General Practitioner servicing the Boddington Medical Centre. Council decisions in October and November have supported accommodation for 2 Registrars to continue servicing Boddington in 2026.
Access to reliable GP services remains a challenge for many regional communities, and secure accommodation is a key factor in attracting and retaining medical professionals. Extending the availability of residential housing helps ensure stability for current providers and strengthens the Medical Centre’s capacity to plan for future service delivery.
This approach builds on previous initiatives that support visiting and resident medical practitioners, recognising that practical accommodation solutions contribute directly to sustained healthcare access for residents.
