PUBLIC NOTICE - MAIN ROADS WORKS ON ALBANY HIGHWAY   

Bus operators could you please pass the following information onto your drivers to allow extra time  if they use Albany highway.

Main Roads will be undertaking a significant amount of road works on the Albany Highway between September 2020 and April 2021 to improve road safety and freight efficiency.

 Seal widening on Albany Highway between Bedfordale Road Train Assembly Area and Williams (121km) are due to commence in early September 2020 and be completed by the end of December 2020.

Construction of a northbound overtaking lane, 20 kms north of Williams on the Albany Hwy is due to commence in September 2020 and be completed by the end of December 2020.

Intersection improvements on the Albany Highway at Crossman Road and Crossman Dwarda Road are due to commence in January 2021 and be completed by April 2021. The south bound rest area in between the intersections will also be upgraded.  

 For the safety of road users and road workers, there will be lane closures and speed restrictions. Road users are urged to slow down when approaching worksites, obey all signs and signals and show courtesy to other road users. We understand this will involve delays to travel and we appreciate the patience of road users.
