The Old School and Town Hall precinct is an important part of Boddington’s history and continues to play a vital role in community services and events. Following earlier opportunities for community input, the Shire is now undertaking the final consultation on the Draft Revitalisation Plan. This is the community’s last opportunity to provide feedback before the Plan is considered for adoption.
The Draft Plan provides a coordinated and sustainable vision for the long-term use, maintenance, accessibility and activation of the precinct. It brings together the Old School, Community Resource Centre, Function Building, Town Hall, courtyards, parking areas and surrounding public spaces as one connected community hub.
Adopting the Plan will establish a strategic direction, but it will not authorise immediate construction work. Any future projects identified within the Plan would be subject to detailed design, funding availability, required approvals and future Council budget considerations.
Consultation Period
Consultation opens: 9:00 am Monday, 24 August
Consultation closes: 4:00 pm Friday, 11 September 2026
Residents will receive a brochure by post explaining the Draft Revitalisation Plan and its four proposed phases. The brochure will include a printed feedback form that can be returned to the Shire Administration, and a QR code linking directly to the online submission form.
Community members are encouraged to review the Draft Plan and share their feedback. Input received during the consultation period will help inform Council's consideration of the Plan and the future of this important community precinct.
