A development application for external upgrades to the commercial property at 53 Bannister Road has been approved, paving the way for a refreshed appearance at this prominent town centre site.
The project includes repainting the building exterior, updating signage with an illuminated logo, and adding two small decorative buggy cars to the roof, with lighting directed toward the main sign. The existing roof signage will remain in place, and all elements have been designed to complement the building’s current character.
No public submissions were received during the advertising period. Following assessment, the proposal was found to enhance the presentation of the site and provide additional visual interest along the main thoroughfare.
The improvements are expected to contribute positively to the activation of the town centre and support increased visitation to local businesses.
