Council has officially adopted the draft concept designs for the revitalisation of 32 Bannister Road and Central Park, marking a major milestone in the delivery of the Town Centre Revitalisation Masterplan.

The transformation of these key public spaces is set to not only enhance everyday community use but also strengthen Boddington’s appeal as a welcoming and vibrant destination.

Key features of 32 Bannister Road include:

  • A flexible multi-use sea container space overlooking the plaza
  • Pathway links from the Town Centre to the Town Hall and Hotham Park
  • Shade structures, seasonal landscaping, festoon lighting, and new green open space
  • Updated seating, low retaining walls with permeable fencing, and more.

At Central Park, improvements will boost shade, play, and accessibility with:

  • A reconfigured playground and upgraded shaded seating areas
  • Realigned pathways to improve flow and visibility
  • Accessible drinking fountain and bird waterer
  • Retention of iconic features, including the wishing well and ‘Miners’ artwork.

These designs have been shaped by public feedback and workshops, including an online survey, local engagement events, and discussions led by Councillors.

This exciting project is proudly supported through a combination of Federal Growing Regions Funding, Lotterywest, and municipal contributions. Construction is expected to be complete by Monday, 30 June 2026.
