Council has adopted the Shire of Boddington Council Plan 2026–2036 following its annual review.
The Council Plan is the Shire’s primary strategic planning document, guiding decision-making, annual budgets, service delivery, projects and advocacy.
The 2026 review confirmed that the Plan’s existing aspirations and outcomes continue to reflect community priorities, with feedback also gathered through a targeted community survey.
Key priorities include advocating for residential aged care, implementing the Swimming Pool Enhancement Plan, progressing the Old School and Town Hall revitalisation, planning for expansion of the community gym, delivering the adopted Housing Strategy and improving bushfire preparedness.
The Plan also includes actions to diversify Boddington’s economic base, support local businesses and attract investment. Tourism priorities include progressing the Boddington Town Entry Statement, the Boddington Scenic Drive, and the Tullis Rail Trail. A native tree subsidy program is also included following a successful pilot in 2025/26.
