The Level Up school holiday program attracted approximately 160 children and young people across dance and skatepark sessions held during the September and October school holidays.
WA Allstars Dance Academy delivered two days of dance and cheerleading activities, with approximately 80 participants taking part in movie-inspired routines. A glow station added glitter and sparkle to the sessions, while participants shared feedback through an interactive survey and a kindness and gratitude tree.
Freestyle Now delivered two skatepark sessions featuring coaching in skateboarding, scooter riding and BMX skills. Approximately 40 participants attended each session, including young people from Narrogin and surrounding towns. Youth Centre staff supported the sessions by providing a sausage sizzle and refreshments for participants.
The strong attendance and positive feedback made the school holiday sessions a successful addition to the Level Up program. Keep an eye out for future come-and-try sessions.
The Level Up program is supported by the Government of Western Australia, the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport, and the Boddington Youth Centre.
