More than 30 people attended the recent Boddington Business After Hours event, hosted at the Double Shot Café, with attendees enjoying fabulous food and a welcoming atmosphere. The evening featured a presentation by Tania Dawson, who shared valuable insights from a Boddington business perspective into the lived experience of applying for a Peel Business Award. Greg Hire from A Stitch in Time also presented, offering practical and thoughtful tips on health and wellbeing from a business owner’s perspective.
Feedback from guests was positive, with comments including, “This helps me to feel supported with other businesses in town.” Attendees also appreciated learning about upcoming tourism attractions within the community, as presented by Julie Burton, CEO of the Shire of Boddington.
Suggestions for future improvement focused on strengthening connections across businesses, delivering more business events, and encouraging the growth of retail and shop offerings within the town. It was particularly pleasing to see new faces in attendance, representing new businesses in Boddington.
The next Business After Hours event is planned for November this year.
