A fantastic time was had at the Boddington Community Christmas Celebration, held on Friday, 5 December 2025, at Hotham Park. Presented by the Shire of Boddington, the much-loved annual event attracted more than 320 people, creating a vibrant atmosphere for families and friends to relax, enjoy great food, and catch up ahead of the summer holidays.

The celebration featured plenty of fun for all ages, including water slides and activities to keep cool, the ever-popular Lions Club train, and arts and crafts for creative minds. No Christmas event would be complete without a visit from Santa, who delighted children throughout the evening.

Entertainment was a highlight, with the Boddington District High School Choir performing festive tunes, followed by Nic Delaynii, who treated the crowd to a mix of Christmas carols and popular covers. As the sun set, market stalls and food vendors transformed the car park into a lively twilight street festival, adding to the festive spirit.

This year’s event also coincided with the International Day of People with Disability, a day dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the achievements and contributions of people with disability. Residents had the unique opportunity to learn the basics of wheelchair basketball in a session led by athlete Clint Morgan, offering a fun and inclusive experience for all.

The Shire of Boddington acknowledges the generous support of Lotterywest and Develop Disability WA’s International Day of People with Disability Grant, as well as the Boddington Lions Club and Boddington Bushfire Brigade for their invaluable assistance in making this event possible.
