The Boddington Early Years Network (EYN) programs are a fun and welcoming way for families to connect and learn together. The timetable lists the weekly activities for children ages 0-5.

In celebration of the International Day of People with Disability, Rebound WA will visit the Hotham Park Half Court on Friday, 5 December 2025, to run a Wheel Life basketball session. This fun and interactive afternoon will allow participants to learn new skills while gaining a firsthand understanding of what it’s like to live with a physical disability.

Wuraming Avenue will be closed on Friday, 5 December 2025, from 12.00 pm until 10.00 pm for the Boddington Community Christmas Celebration.

The Shire is seeking a dynamic volunteer to fill the important role of Father Christmas at this year's Boddington Community Christmas Celebration.

The annual Seniors Week Expo is back on Thursday, 13 November 2025. This Expo forms part of Seniors Week and offers local seniors access to a variety of interactive and informative stalls and demonstrations aimed at promoting healthy, active and connected ageing. A complimentary lunch and refreshments will be provided for attendees.

Contractors will be onsite from Wednesday, 12 November 2025 to undertake roof replacement works on the Old Road Board Building. Some noise and restricted access can be expected during this time.

At the Special Council Meeting on Monday, 3 November 2025, the Shire of Boddington adopted its 2025/2026 Budget, following unavoidable delays caused by external departmental processes. The Shire sincerely thanks the community for its patience and understanding throughout this period.

The 2025 Children’s Week Celebration was organised by the Boddington Early Years Network on Tuesday, 21 October 2025. This annual event raises awareness and celebrates every child’s right to relax, play, and engage in activities they enjoy. This year’s theme was: "Everyone Should Know About Children’s Rights". The celebration brought together approximately 70 local children and families in a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment, fostering connection and support throughout the Shire.

Government of Western Australia, through the Small Business Development Corporation, are funding free business advice sessions with IPS Management Consultants. IPS Management Consultants is a provider of small business development regional services in the Peel region. They facilitate the free sessions with local businesses and are passionate about regional communities and helping our businesses achieve their goals.

Apex Envirocare have completed dredging of the Hotham River. Dredging was carried out successfully with sediment now settling and drying out in the Geotubes at the laydown area.

The Town Hall has recently undergone structural improvements as part of an upgrade project. This included the replacement of the existing stumps and braces supporting the stage and stair structures. The new components enhance the overall stability, safety, and longevity of these areas and improving the facility for community use.

The Bough Shelter project is now complete with the installation of log seating. The seating is a thoughtful addition to the Ranford Pool project, and celebrates connection to Country and community.

Business After Hours is back again, a free event designed to keep local businesses up to date with projects and initiatives that support economic development in our region.

Are you a local stallholder vendor? The Shire of Boddington is inviting stallholders to take part in the Community Christmas Celebration on Friday, 5 December 2025, from 5.00pm to 8.00pm.

Landowners and occupants are required to complete fire prevention work and maintenance on their properties by Saturday, 15 November 2025, and continue up until Monday, 27 April 2026.

The Shire is excited to announce that the Library and Visitor Centre are now open seven days a week. This expanded service enables community members and visitors to access Library and Visitor Services daily from 10 am to 4 pm, with Better Beginnings sessions starting at 9 am.

The Shire has secured $1.9 million through Main Roads WA's Regional Road Safety Program to deliver major safety upgrades on Lower Hotham Road.

Works are about to commence on the Ranford Shared Path - an upgrade to the existing path that will enhance the connection between Ranford Pool and Hotham Park, and establish a continuous route for cyclists, pedestrians, and users with accessibility needs.

At the September meeting, Council supported a suite of community-led projects proposed by the Boddington Town Team, aimed at activating and beautifying the town centre.

The Shire was pleased to be part of the recent Community Market Day, with a Shire stall set up to share information on current and upcoming projects. The event provided a great opportunity for community members to engage directly with Shire representatives, ask questions, and learn more about local initiatives.

The Shire's Old School and Town Hall Project aims to explore opportunities for preservation, improvement and new uses that meet the needs of today while respecting the heritage of these sites.

At its August meeting, Boddington Shire Council approved a Business Assistance Grant of $555 to local business SH and JE Maddern Family Trust, trading as The Sheds at 7 Assay Terrace.
