At the Special Council Meeting held on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, the Shire of Boddington adopted its 2026/2027 Annual Budget, delivering a $9.7 million capital works program that continues Council's investment in community infrastructure, housing, recreation and roads.

The Town Centre Revitalisation will continue with the completion of 32 Bannister Road, upgrades to Central Park, and replacement of the town centre footpaths along Bannister Road. These projects will further enhance the heart of Boddington, creating a more attractive and accessible space for residents and visitors.

Construction of six new chalets at the Boddington Caravan Park will be completed this year, expanding accommodation options and supporting the Shire's growing tourism industry.

The highly anticipated Mountain Bike Trails are also scheduled for completion, providing another exciting recreation and tourism asset for the community.

Roads remain a major focus, with $1.8 million allocated to road renewal and maintenance projects. These projects are largely funded through Regional Road Group (RRG) and Roads to Recovery funding.

Housing availability remains a key priority, with $1.1 million allocated towards Stage 1 of the Shire's Housing Project, helping improve housing and address the growing demand for local housing.

Further investment will also be made in community facilities, with continued improvements to the Boddington Swimming Pool, including heating and amenity upgrades, and the commencement of the first stage of works at Town Hall and the Old School.
