Old School and Town Hall Revitalisation Project

About the project

The Shire is planning the future of two important community places in the town centre, the Old School site and the Town Hall. These sites have deep local history and pride of place. Both need a clear, sustainable plan for safe use, maintenance, and activation so they remain valued community assets for years to come.

This project will explore opportunities for preservation, improvement and new uses that meet the needs of today while respecting their heritage. Community voices will be central to shaping the vision and guiding decisions about these important sites.

Why the project is taking place

  • Some spaces may not be being used to their potential. The project aims to match future uses of these sites with community needs.
  • Ageing buildings come with rising maintenance and renewal costs. The project will set a realistic plan for essential works and staged upgrades so spending is predictable and value for money.
  • The Old School and Town Hall are part of Boddington’s story. The project looks for ways to respect that heritage while enabling practical use.
