The Shire of Boddington has officially endorsed the Council Plan 2025–2035 and accompanying Strategic Resource Plan (SRP). The endorsement of these documents marks a major milestone in strategic planning and long-term sustainability for the community. Together, these foundational documents chart the Shire’s path over the next decade, ensuring the Shire's priorities reflect community aspirations and that projects are responsibly resourced.
The Council Plan outlines the Shire’s core aspirations across five pillars:
- People,
- Planet,
- Place,
- Prosperity, and
- Performance.
The accompanying Strategic Resource Plan confirms that the Shire remains in a strong and sustainable financial position, enabling the delivery of more than $23.5 million in capital works over the next four years. 45% of which is expected to be funded by external grants.
The Strategic Resource Plan underlines the Shire’s commitment to delivering quality services within its means. Key highlights include:
- Forecasted rate increases only slightly above CPI, keeping costs fair while funding future growth.
- Sustainable operating expenditure aligned to CPI, protecting core services.
- Zero budget deficits forecasted through to 2029–30, indicating prudent fiscal management.
The endorsed plans reflect not only where Boddington wants to go, but how it will get there, with the confidence of community support and the backing of sound governance.
