Under the Bush Fires Act 1954, landowners or occupiers are required to complete fire prevention work on their property by Saturday, 15 November 2025. It is essential to maintain your property in accordance with these requirements until Monday, 27 April 2026.
Properties subject to an approved Bushfire Management Plan must comply with the requirements of their plan.
If clearing Fire Access Tracks or removing flammable materials poses challenges, the landholder may apply for alternative arrangements in writing to the Shire by Tuesday, 30 September 2025. If permission is not granted, compliance is required.
