Online Form - Proposed Speed Limit Change for Boddington’s Main Street

The Shire of Boddington is seeking feedback on a proposed speed limit adjustment to 40 km/h on Bannister Marradong road, within the Boddington townsite, addressing ongoing safety concerns.

Bannister Marradong Road is managed by Main Roads WA, who are seeking to understand the level of community support for this change. The current speed limit on Boddington's main street is 50 km/h. The proposal suggests a reduction to 40 km/h in the same zone as the current limit, prompted by community concerns regarding road and pedestrian safety. The proposal also aligns with speed reductions in other towns throughout the region, which have frequent heavy vehicle traffic.

The anticipated reduction aims to enhance pedestrian safety, particularly for children and the elderly.
