Planning is about to commence for the revitalisation of the Boddington Town Centre. This project is an exciting key element of the Council Plan, with the outcome being to attract increased visitation, support local businesses, and provide a vibrant and attractive town centre for the community. When complete, the project will have a flow on benefit to Boddington as a whole with respect to overall amenity and liveability, as well as attracting business investment, tourists and visitors.
The initial stage of the project is to develop a masterplan. To inform its development, a Reference Group is being formed, with interested residents encouraged to nominate to be part of this Group. When finalised, the Masterplan is likely to lead to various construction stages in future years.
The Reference Group will have the role of identifying ideas, themes and concepts, and be a sounding board for the appointed consultant and Council to gauge community views on issues relevant to the project.
