Recently Boddington hosted the Peel Classic for the first time and attracted approximately 250 weekend visitors to town. The event has previously rotated host communities within the Peel region each year, but this was the first time the entire race route had been hosted within the Shire of Boddington.
Cyclists commenced from the Boddington Old School Oval heading south along Bannister-Marradong Road, Lower Hotham Road and Harvey-Quindanning Road to Quindanning, before using Pinjarra-Williams Road and Bannister-Marradong Road to return to Boddington. The Peel District Cycling Club have praised the challenging and picturesque route and look forward to returning to Boddington next year.
