Exciting news! The Shire of Boddington been successful in securing support from Council of The Ageing’s (COTA) Senior’s Week Grant for the 2022 Senior’s Week in Boddington: Have a Go Day.
The Boddington Active Ageing Network (BAAN) met for the first time in September 2022 and is facilitated by the Shire of Boddington, consisting of representation from the Boddington Arts Council, Boddington Lions Club, Boddington Men’s Shed, Boddington Hospital Auxiliary, Senior’s Village, Stay Active, and Strength for Life. At the initial meeting local organisations had the opportunity to contribute ideas for a Senior’s Week event, and the opportunities brainstormed informed the grant application.
Preparations are now underway for the Have a Go Day which is a free community event for older people living in Boddington and surrounds to hear from local organisations who assist older people within Boddington, as well as participate in demonstrations and activities from local community groups.
