Round 3 of the Shire’s Community Grant Program is now open! The Community Grant Program provides financial assistance to incorporated bodies to deliver projects or programs which deliver benefit to the local community and local economy to build an engaged, vibrant, inclusive and healthy community.

The Community Grant Program was previously known as Local Organisation Assistance Funding (LOAF), and now contains a simplified application process and refocus of the funding priority areas to align with the community’s aspirations set out in the Shire’s Community Strategic Plan.

Three rounds continue to be available per financial year to upkeep access to funding throughout the year. Previously community groups and sporting clubs were eligible to apply for up to 33% of the total project costs with a ceiling of $1,500, however this has now increased to 75% and $2,000 respectively.

Previously in Round 2, the Boddington Basketball Club secured support for installing electronic scoreboards for Courts 1 and 2 at the Boddington Recreation Centre, while the Boddington Football Club will be installing safety nets on the south side of the Oval to protect spectators and vehicles.

Applications for Round 3 close at 4pm on Thursday, 31 March. Further information about the Community Grant Program is available here.

Community groups and sporting clubs encouraged to book an appointment with the Shire’s Community Development team to discuss project eligibility, and for assistance completing the application form.
