2022/2023 Budget Adopted

The Annual Budget for 2022/23 has been adopted by Council, which is balanced and designed to deliver the priorities identified in the Council Plan.

Some major infrastructure projects in the pipeline for this year include:

  • Transforming the old pavilion into a community gym
  • Continuing progress towards an Aged Care Accommodation Facility in Boddington
  • Commencing the process for the rehabilitation of the Lions Weir and associated waterways
  • Installing shade and an infant playground in Hotham Park
  • Constructing new and replacement footpaths
  • Developing a needs analysis and business case for the redevelopment of the Boddington Caravan Park
  • Continuing the Shire road program on Harvey Quindanning, Lower Hotham and Crossman Roads, as well as resealing various streets within the townsite

The Shire will also invest in other projects to stimulate the economy and support local business, including developing a masterplan for the Town Centre Revitalisation, confirming signage needs for tourism and community purposes throughout Boddington and on major entry points, and reinvigorating the Visitor Interpretive Centre.
