Better Beginnings
Come along to the Boddington Public Library every Tuesday and Thursday of the school term between 9 - 9.30am and join us for Better Beginnings.
Better Beginnings is aimed at children aged 0-5 & their parents/carers. It supports parents in reading to children to build the early literacy skills they need to become good readers & succeed in school.
Books Build Better Futures Sharing a love of reading, rhyming, singing and talking with your baby is one of the best things you can do to give your baby a head start in life. Research into early brain development shows that a child’s ability to learn and to develop pre-literacy skills is greater if they are read to from birth.
The Better Beginnings Family Literacy Program is coordinated by the State Library of WA and delivered through public libraries to support parents as their child’s first teacher.
