Youth Engagement & Community Culture

The Shire of Boddington is exploring if there is a need to refresh the Choose Respect message and reinvigorate a positive community culture for Boddington.  After some recent discussions with community members and our Youth Centre Coordinator it has been highlighted that a particular focus needs to be given to youth between the ages of 13 and 25 who don’t engage as often with support programs already offered in Boddington.  The first step would be to form a working group that starts the conversation around this topic with the aim of developing a program that we would collaboratively launch, drive and support from within our own clubs and organisations over a period of time to address any negative cultural issues we see in our local Boddington community.

Are you or is someone you know a leader in a local club, group or organisation that engages with or impacts upon youth, in particular youth between the ages of 13 – 25 and wish to be involved please register your interest with the Shire by the 10 August 2018.
