Read More Posted 16 December 2020 ROUND 5 OF THE BUILDING BETTER REGIONS FUND Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development Michael McCormack has today announced that guidelines for Round 5 of the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) are available at www.business.gov.au/bbrf, meaning prospective applicants can now begin planning their project applications for assessment. Applications open on 12 January 2021 and close on 5 March 2021. Successful applicants are expected to be announced in mid-2021. To be eligible, applicants must be an incorporated not-for-profit, local government agency or body, or non-distributing co-operative and in an eligible location. Grants are on offer of between $5,000 and $10 million to cover 50% or more of eligible project costs: • $5,000 to $1,000,000 for the Community Investments Stream; and • $20,000 to $10,000,000 for the Infrastructure Projects Stream. The round has allocated $100 million of targeted support for tourism-related infrastructure, while maintaining $100 million for broader community infrastructure and investment. Applicants are encouraged to engage with their local Regional Development Australia (RDA) offices prior to preparing applications.
