The Shire of Boddington is seeking a professional, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our team as the Administrator – Library and Visitor Centre in a permanent part-time capacity.
This position plays a key role in delivering high-level administrative support across library and visitor centre operations, contributing to an efficient and welcoming environment for both residents and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sound knowledge of the local area, and proven administrative capability to support the smooth delivery of services in accordance with Shire policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of high quality, customer focused services and programs at the Boddington Library and Visitor Centre.
- Planning and delivering engaging programs, events and activities for children and adults.
- Sourcing and acquitting small grant funding to support library and visitor centre initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate records, databases and information systems for both library and visitor centre to support smooth operations and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, sharp attention to detail, and excellent communication and organisational skills. Local knowledge and experience in Local Government or libraries are highly regarded.
The position offers:
- A competitive hourly rate between $35.22 and $36.80
- 39 hours per fortnight, scheduled across 3.5 days each week (roster may vary based on operational needs).
- Up to 18% superannuation if you join Councils matching scheme of 6%
