Plant Operator / Maintenance Worker

The Shire is seeking suitably experienced and motivated individual to join our Works & Services team. The primary objective of the role is to operate various items of plant and equipment in relation to civil construction and maintenance works.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Carrying out construction and maintenance activities on infrastructure, including
    roads, pathways and drainage.
  • Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with approved
    work practices, procedures, service levels and quality standards.
  • Performing various manual handling and labouring tasks.
  • Being a positive part of a motivated team that delivers services for the community.

The successful candidate will have a great attitude, experience in a similar role, and possess plant operation competency tickets (or be willing to obtain these). A HR Class driver’s license is a requirement of the role.

Parks and Gardens – General Hand

The Shire is seeking suitably experienced and motivated individual to join our Works & Services team. The primary objective of the role is to operate various items of plant and equipment in relation to completing high quality maintenance activities for parks, reserves and streetscapes within the town of Boddington.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Mowing, gardening, and other maintenance of the town ovals, Shire parks, gardens,
    reserves, street verges, footpaths and laneways.
  • Litter control.
  • Slashing of blocks and rugged areas.
  • Pruning and maintenance of all street trees and shrubs.
  • Cemetery maintenance (mowing, watering, etc).
  • Maintenance of all items of plant and equipment used.

The successful candidate will have a great attitude, experience in a similar role, and possess competency tickets (or be willing to obtain these).

Human Resources Coordinator

The Shire is seeking a motivated individual to join our Corporate Services team. The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the development, support, and advice for all aspects of human resource management, as well as coordinating the delivery of the Shires Work Health and Safety Program.


The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, and have outstanding administration skills, with a keen eye for detail to produce high quality work. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as highly developed organisational skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for work/life balance, with the position offered on a flexible basis, between 64 - 76 hours a fortnight. The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance.

Childcare Educator (Full Time, Diploma Qualified)

The Shire is seeking a dedicated, grounded, and reliable Diploma Qualified Childcare Educator, to join our Early Learning Centre team, who has a passion for early childhood development. This educator will work directly with children, across varying age groups, in collaboration with the Centre Manager, other educators, children and their families.


The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, as well as a commitment to continuous improvement, a strong work ethic and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will need to possess a calm, caring disposition, while also being fun and energetic, ensuring that our children feel safe at all times. Not only will you complement our dynamic team but be willing to continue to grow, as well as, motivate your fellow workers, by sharing your own skills, experiences and interests.

Childcare Educator (Casual, Cert. III Qualified)

Applications are invited for Certificate 3 Qualified Child Care Educator for the Boddington Early Learning Centre to work on a casual basis.

The successful applicant must: 

  • Be Certificate 3 Qualified
  • Hold First Aid qualification
  • Hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Card
  • Be available to work, between 6am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday; and
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
